Shipping
Complimentary delivery on every order, everywhere we ship. Insured, tracked, and signed for on arrival.
Rates and timings
Standard delivery is free on every order regardless of value. Express is free above £1,000 and charged below it. Timings run from despatch rather than from the order, and orders placed after 14:00 GMT despatch the next working day.

|---|---|---|---|
| United Kingdom | 1–2 working days | Next working day | £12 |
| European Union | 2–4 working days | 1–2 working days | £20 |
| United States and Canada | 3–5 working days | 2 working days | £25 |
| Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore | 3–5 working days | 2 working days | £25 |
| Australia and New Zealand | 4–7 working days | 2–3 working days | £30 |
| Rest of world | 5–10 working days | Not available | — |
Before it ships
Everything is authenticated on arrival into our stockroom and checked again on the day it ships, so a piece leaves us having been looked at twice by two people. That second check is why we quote despatch in working days rather than hours.
Pieces are packed in the house's own box where we have it, then boxed again for transit. Nothing ships in a polybag.
Tracking
You get a tracking number by email the moment the label is generated, and you can follow an order without signing in from the tracking page. Every parcel is insured for its full value and needs a signature — we cannot authorise a carrier to leave a parcel in a safe place or with a neighbour.
Duties and taxes
Prices on the site include UK VAT. What happens at the border depends on where you are:
- United Kingdom — the price you see is the price you pay.
- European Union, United States, Canada, Japan, Australia — we ship on delivered-duty-paid terms and settle import charges before the parcel moves. Again, the price you see is the price you pay.
- Everywhere else — we ship delivered-at-place, and the carrier will collect any local duty and tax from you before releasing the parcel. That amount is set by your customs authority, not by us.
Where VAT is deducted for a non-UK destination, the site shows the adjusted price once you have set your region.
Collection in store
Anything held in the room you are collecting from can be picked up the same day; anything that needs to travel between rooms takes two to three days. We will email when it is on the counter, and hold it for fourteen days.
Where we cannot ship
Exotic-skin pieces — crocodile, alligator, python, lizard — travel under CITES permits and cannot cross some borders at all. Where that applies, the product page says so before you add it to the bag rather than after.
TO CONFIRM: the client's freight forwarder should confirm the current CITES destination list so the product-page warnings can be made specific rather than general.
